iPhone 16 Pro: New details

February 20, 2024  14:17

Apple iPhone 16 Pro, which is expected to be released at the end of 2024, may receive two new shades of titanium case - Desert Titanium and Titanium Gray. This information is shared by MacRumors, citing a well-known insider under the nickname Majin Bu.

In a new post on X (Twitter), Majin Bu shared photos and said that Desert Titanium is similar to the gold color variant of the iPhone 14 Pro, but the color is "deeper and heavier." As for Titanium Gray, it will likely be similar to the Space Gray shade that debuted in 2014 with the iPhone 6.

iPhone 15 Pro comes in several colors: Titanium Black, Titanium White, Titanium Blue and Natural Titanium. There is no golden tint in smartphones of this generation. Gold colors were available from iPhone 5s (2013) to iPhone 8 (2017), and then from iPhone XS (2018) to iPhone 14 Pro (2022).

MacRumors correspondents believe the return of the gold hue to the iPhone 16 Pro is very likely. According to them, this is the first rumor about the colors of the iPhone 16 Pro, and it is worth considering that Majin Bu has a very mixed reputation for disclosing accurate information about Apple's plans. More accurate information may appear in the near future.

We also know that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max with A18 processors will be more different from their predecessors than some previous generation phones: the Apple A18 chip they use will have an improved NPU for new AI functions.

In addition, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will receive the largest battery in the history of the series (capacity 4676 mAh) and may become the leader in battery life among all iPhone models.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max can also get up to 2TB of storage. According to rumors, the Pro model will have a 6.3-inch screen, and the Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max use 6.1- and 6.7-inch displays, respectively.

It is also known that the camera unit and the entire design of the Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will most likely differ from previous models, however, there will most likely be no significant changes in the design of the Pro and Pro Max models.
