The developers of WhatsApp have introduced a new feature that allows users to share their screens with their conversation partners during video calls. This announcement comes from the reputable source 9to5mac.

The new screen sharing capability is now available for both Android and iOS users of WhatsApp. To demonstrate their screens to their conversation partners, Android users need to initiate a video call and then tap on the screen sharing button located next to the call end button. This action prompts a confirmation from the user. Similarly, iPhone users can activate this function in a similar manner.

The rollout of this new feature is happening gradually, so some users might already have access to it while others do not. In the near future, this addition will become available to all WhatsApp users on both Android and iOS platforms. Moreover, there are plans to integrate this functionality into the Windows version of the messenger app.

A similar feature has been present in platforms like Telegram, Zoom, and even Apple's FaceTime for quite some time.

WhatsApp, a messenger app utilized by over 2 billion people across more than 180 countries, operates across various devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers. This includes its web version as well.

As the trend towards enhanced communication experiences continues, WhatsApp's screen sharing feature aims to provide its users with a dynamic and interactive way to communicate and collaborate with friends, family, and colleagues, further enriching the app's diverse range of capabilities.

Not long ago the WhatsApp app for iOS users received a new feature. Now iPhone owners will be able to edit text descriptions for already sent media files. Before that the messenger had introduced another feature that allowed to edit sent messages, but it only worked for text messages.

As for the other new features of the messenger, it became possible to communicate even with those people whose numbers are not recorded in the phone book of the smartphone. You can also send short video messages up to 60 seconds long.

WhatsApp developers have also added the ability to filter conversations right in the chat list and the ability to quickly find the right sticker using the emoji associated with it.
