The long-awaited feature of editing messages appears in WhatsApp for iPhone

Users of WhatsApp for Android at the end of May 2023 got their hands on the new feature that enabled them to edit their messages within 15 minutes after sending. Now this long-awaited feature has finally appeared in the version of the messenger for iOS.

According to WABetaInfo, users who updated the iOS application to version 23.12.76 are now able to edit sent messages within 15 minutes. To do this, while holding the desired message, select "Edit."

You can only do this from the device from which the message was sent. But there is no limit on the number of changes to sent messages: within 15 minutes, each message can be edited an infinite number of times.

If the message has been edited, the other party will see a sign that indicates it, but will not be able to view the revision history and see the original version of the message.

Soon WhatsApp users will be able to pin messages in chats for 24 hours, 7 or 30 days. A lot of other useful features have also appeared recently: they include protection against spam calls, the ability to use several accounts in one client at once, the ability to follow important and interesting news using “Channels”, send photos in high quality and many others.
