The American corporation Microsoft has added a new feature to the Windows operating system “Link to Phone”, with which users can quickly transfer files from smartphones on iOS and Android platforms. This was reported in the press service of the corporation.

“We are beginning to gradually roll out the ability to seamlessly share files between your iPhone® and a Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC when they are connected via Phone Link and the Link to Windows app,” the publication said.

The beta version of the app is currently only available to Insider program members. With the new feature, users will be able to wirelessly connect iOS and Android smartphones to a PC and then share files. In addition, notifications will be visible on the monitor screen and it will be possible to answer calls.
