Mass production of iPhone SE 4 will begin this October, with sales starting in 2025

After nearly two years of rumors about the fourth-generation iPhone SE, The Information has reported that Apple's suppliers are finally planning to begin mass production of the device this October.

It is assumed that the company will not announce the next iPhone SE along with the iPhone 16 series at the September presentation, as previously expected. Instead, it is reported that the device could be released before the Chinese Lunar New Year in January 2025.

However, all three existing iPhone SE models were announced in March, so a March 2025 launch also seems entirely possible, the source says.

The fourth-generation iPhone SE will have a 6.1-inch OLED screen, Face ID, an action button, and a USB-C port. The device is expected to be similar to the base iPhone 14, although it was previously said that it will only have a single rear camera and may use the same rear panel manufacturing process as the iPhone 16.

Earlier it became known that the new generation iPhone SE smartphone will work with Apple's latest A18 processor, which will allow Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence to be integrated even in Apple's budget devices. According to the source, the same A18 chip will be used in all smartphones of the iPhone 16 series, including the base models. It is also possible that the iPhone SE 4 will have 6 or 8 GB of RAM.
