Realme has unveiled the limited-edition Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, created in collaboration with Warner Bros. The smartphone features a UV color-changing body, a Harry Potter-themed interface, and packaging styled like a trunk for the trip to Hogwarts. Only 5,000 of these devices will be released.

The Hogwarts crest changes color under ultraviolet light

The smartphone’s main feature is a brown back panel with a textured argyle pattern inspired by wizard chess. It bears the Hogwarts crest, which reacts to ultraviolet light and simultaneously takes on four colors corresponding to the school’s houses. Realme calls this the first technology with four independent color-reaction zones.

The frame is inscribed with “Welcome to Hogwarts,” while the mirrored trim around the camera module is styled after Hedwig, Harry Potter’s owl.

The software has also been customized. The manufacturer added themed icons, wallpapers, a lock screen, and special camera filters.

Instead of a regular box, a Harry Potter trunk

The standout feature of the package is the packaging itself, which Realme styled after Harry’s trunk for the trip to Hogwarts.

Inside are a school acceptance letter, a train ticket from Platform 9¾, bookmarks, and postcards featuring the characters. The package also includes a branded case and a special SIM eject tool.

Production of the smartphone is limited to 5,000 units, so the main appeal here is clearly its collectible value rather than any technical differences from the regular Realme 16 Pro.

The specifications remain unchanged

In terms of hardware, the Harry Potter Edition almost completely mirrors the standard Realme 16 Pro. It comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 7300-Max processor, a 200MP main camera, and a 7,000mAh battery.

Buyers can choose only one configuration — 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

At the same time, Realme also released the themed Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition wireless earbuds. Their charging case comes in brown and is decorated with the Hogwarts crest, though technically the model is no different from the regular version.

The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is sold in India for 62,999 rupees — about $660. The earbuds cost 6,999 rupees, or roughly $75.
