Its main feature is the absence of a traditional LCD display in favor of a large transparent window that simultaneously works as an optical viewfinder and an information display.

How the unusual viewfinder works

Through the transparent glass, the user sees the real world, while necessary data is projected over the image: battery level, shooting mode, exposure settings, and framing guides. The window's light transmission exceeds 50%, allowing comfortable use even in low-light conditions.

The camera supports multiple aspect ratios: 1:1, 3:2, 4:3, and 16:9. The device weighs just 65 grams, making it one of the lightest in its class.

Minimalism and practicality

Godox deliberately omitted Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules to keep costs as low as possible and simplify the design. Photos and videos are saved to a microSD card of up to 128 GB. File transfer is done via a USB-C port.

The camera does not claim to compete with modern smartphones in image quality. However, it is ideal for everyday snapshots, learning photography, creative experiments, and situations where focusing on composition rather than technical settings is important.

For now, the Godox C100 is only available on the Chinese market at a price of 199 yuan (approximately $29). This makes it one of the most affordable and at the same time most unusual devices in the compact camera segment.
