Apple officially announces date, venue of iPhone 15, other devices’ presentation

The annual fall presentation of the iPhone 15, Apple's smartwatches, and several other new products will take place on September 12, according to a statement posted on the company's website. 

The event will start at 10pm Armenia time. Like last year, it will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino (California, USA). The presentation will be held under the motto Wonderlust.

Analysts told Reuters that Apple will try to woo buyers with a host of new features for its flagship device as sales of the iPhone 15 begin amid a slump in smartphone demand worldwide. According to the aforesaid news agency, iPhone sales fell 2.4% in the third quarter of this year, which is a sharp decline for a product that has fueled the company's growth for many years.

In early August, 9to5Mac reported that the presentation of the new iPhone 15 smartphones and some other devices will be pre-recorded and broadcast on September 12. According to this website, the new devices will go on sale on September 22, but they can be pre-ordered as of September 15.

It is believed that all the iPhone 15 series smartphones will have a screen opening called Dynamic Island, which in the case of the iPhone 14 was only available in the more expensive versions. As per insiders, this move is due to Apple's desire to increase sales, since the demand for the standard iPhone 14 models was not so great.

As expected, prices for the base models of the iPhone 15 will remain at the same level as for the 14 series; they will start at $799. At the same time, as reported by Bloomberg, Apple is discussing the possibility of increasing the price of Pro versions, as they are very popular, and the American company wants to increase its revenues.

UK’s Barclays Investment Bank analyst Tim Long assumes that after the generation change, the Pro version will be $100 more expensive, and the flagship Pro Max (Ultra) version will cost $100 to $200 more than its predecessor.

Earlier it became known that after the presentation of the iPhone 15, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be withdrawn from production, and the prices of the other Apple smartphones will be reduced.
