First ‘Potterphone’ in world: Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition in Harry Potter style is introduced

Xiaomi has introduced the new Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone and its special version inspired by Harry Potter—the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition, with an original design and themed accessories.

As reported by GSMarena.com, this "Potterphone" was developed in the framework of cooperation with Warner Brothers.

In addition to this smartphone, originally designed accessories can be found in its box.

The SIM eject button, for example, reminds of the 9th and 3/4 platform from which the heroes of the Harry Potter saga appeared in the Wizarding World. There is also a letter—from Hogwarts?—and a map.

As for the smartphone itself, the Hogwarts symbol is depicted on its back panel, and the camera lenses look like Harry Potter glasses. Next to them, you can also notice a sign in the form of lightning, which is similar to the scar on Harry Potter’s forehead.

The design theme of the Android operating system is also in the style of Harry Potter.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo specifications

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution and 120 Hz frame rate. The device runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chip.

When it comes to memory, there are several options available:

  • 256 GB flash memory, 8 GB RAM,
  • 256 GB flash memory, 12 GB RAM,
  • 512 GB flash memory, 12 GB RAM,
  • 1 TB 16 flash memory, GB RAM.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition, however, is presented in the only version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory.

Camera sensors are three:

  • 64 MP, (wide), 1/2", 0.7µm, PDAF, OIS
  • 8 MP, f/2.2, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/4", 1.12µm
  • 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro)

The sensor of the selfie camera is 16 megapixels.

The battery capacity is 5000mAh with 67W fast charging support.

The regular version of this smartphone costs about $305, whereas its "Potterphone" with the same memory—about $350.

Its sale in China will begin on Friday.
