HONOR has announced the date for the official unveiling of its most unusual smartphone — the Robot Phone. The presentation will take place on August 12, 2026. Pre-orders are already open in China: a deposit of 500 yuan is required to participate.

The main feature — a pop-up camera with a gimbal

The device's main highlight will be a unique titanium camera module with a mechanical gimbal. It automatically extends, has four degrees of freedom, rotates 360 degrees, independently tracks subjects, and adjusts framing. According to HONOR, the system provides CIPA 5.5 level stabilization — enough to shoot smooth video without a separate gimbal.

Powerful photo and video system

The main camera includes three modules:

  • A 200 MP main sensor with f/1.6 aperture
  • A 50 MP ultra-wide camera
  • A 200 MP periscope telephoto lens

HONOR collaborated with the German company ARRI for image processing. As a result, the smartphone will feature branded Log-C color profiles, cinematic LUTs, and expanded manual settings for professional video shooting.

Hardware and software

Performance will be handled by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The software foundation will be HONOR's proprietary AgenticOS system.

The smartphone will be available in two colors — "Stellar Trail" and "Moon Shadow" — and in 12/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB configurations.
