The inside part of the laptop is quite compact, and if it is not cleaned regularly, dust will accumulate in it, which will lead to overheating and freezing of the computer. According to experts, preventive cleaning of laptops should be done at least once a year.

According to expert Ilya Karpuk, it is recommended to entrust the cleaning of the laptop to professionals, because they know how to properly clean the inside, change the lubricant on the coolers, and the thermal paste on the processor and video card.

"However, if you really want or don't have the opportunity to take it to the service center, you can try to clean it yourself," he said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru.

According to him, when cleaning the laptop, it should first be turned off completely by turning off the power and removing the removable battery. The screen and camera can be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth and special liquids that can be purchased at specialty stores. When wiping the screen, you should remember that it is most likely very "gentle", and therefore you should not apply too much pressure on it, because you can easily damage the matrix.

To wipe the laptop keyboard, you can also use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with a special liquid. However, it is important that there is not too much liquid so that it does not flow between the keys. And the crumbs between the keys, according to the expert, can be cleaned by blowing using a cylinder of compressed air.

Next, you need to remove all the screws of the back cover of the laptop and remove the cover.

“Once you have the motherboard in front of you with all the access to it, you first need to remove dust accumulations from clogged radiators, corners, tube outlets. It should be wiped with a dry cloth without pressure, trying not to hook the elements on the board so as not to tear something off. You can then blow it out with compressed air. I especially recommend blowing into the cooling fan, as it collects a lot of dust, ”the expert said.

When cleaning hard-to-reach places, the specialist recommends using cotton swabs designed for ear cleaning. However, he does not recommend inexperienced users changing the thermal paste and cooling lubricant by themselves. The expert also does not recommend using a household vacuum cleaner when cleaning the laptop, because if it is powerful, it can tear off any element of the motherboard or "swallow" any button. In the case of appliances, the dust blowing method is usually safer.

And finally, if cleaning the laptop does not help, and it continues to "hang" and overheat, the expert recommends contacting a specialized service center.
