Frank Lloyd Wright is considered one of the greatest American architects today. He is known primarily for calling himself a follower and popularizer of organic architecture: he argued that any building should harmoniously fit into the surrounding landscape.

The buildings designed by Wright were distinguished by flat roofs, continuous ribbon glazing, and the use of natural materials characteristic of a particular area.

Wright's legacy includes more than 800 projects, of which 380 were completed, eight of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
