In the beta version of the WhatsApp messenger, a new button has emerged, allowing users to engage with an AI-powered chatbot. This development has been reported by the portal WABetaInfo.

The innovation has been identified in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android under the version number 2.23.24.26. Positioned above the button for creating a new dialogue in the "Chats" tab is a shortcut that initiates conversations with an AI. However, access to AI chats is currently limited to a select group of users, preventing a comprehensive evaluation of the chatbot's functionality.

It is anticipated that this new button will likely become available to users of stable WhatsApp builds only after the widespread launch of AI-powered chatbots. Whether this new feature will be operational in Russia remains uncertain.

The AI-driven functionalities were initially announced by WhatsApp in late September. Developers have pledged to introduce three key features in the future, including the ability to create personalized stickers, generate images based on textual descriptions, and incorporate AI-driven chats.

In conversations with artificial intelligence, users will have the capability to pose questions on a variety of topics or, as stated by the developers, engage in debates with numerous unique characters expressing their individual opinions.
