OpenAI company introduced SearchGPT search engine based on artificial intelligence (AI).

The company explained that they are testing SearchGPT, which is designed to combine the power of the company's AI models with information from the web to provide users with fast answers with clear, relevant sources.

“We're rolling it out to a small group of users and publishers to get their feedback. Although this prototype is temporary, we plan to integrate the best of these features directly into ChatGPT in the future,” the company noted.

OpenAI also detailed that getting answers online can be a lot of effort, often requiring multiple attempts to get the right results.

“We believe that enhancing our models' conversational capabilities with real-time information from the Internet can make finding what you're looking for faster and easier.

SearchGPT will answer your questions quickly and directly, providing up-to-date information from the Internet and clear links to relevant sources. You'll be able to ask clarifying questions as if you were talking to a human, while general context will be accumulated along with each query," the company explained.

At the moment, SearchGPT is only available to a small group, but everyone else has the opportunity to sign up and apply for early access.
