Firebird AI has officially joined the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) as a Strategic Member. The announcement was made during the monthly UATE community gathering held in Sevan.

The partnership between UATE and Firebird carries a symbolic and deep history. As Alexander Yesayan, Co-Founder of Firebird and UATE Board Member, noted during the meeting, the initial discussions surrounding the concept of this mega-project and the connection between its founders took shape back in 2024, right on the sidelines of the WCIT-Digitec international conference organized by UATE.

The Firebird AI facility launched near Hrazdan is the largest artificial intelligence factory in the region, positioning Armenia as a pivotal regional and global hub for AI compute capacity. The first phase of the project alone exceeds $500 million in investments, with plans to scale total capacity up to 300 MW. By the end of 2027, the facility will be equipped with more than 70,000 NVIDIA Blackwell and Vera Rubin GPUs, ranking among the largest AI infrastructures in Europe.

The presence of high-performance AI computing power in Armenia opens significant new opportunities for local startups, research centers, and universities. The strategic partnership with UATE, which brings together around 300 technology companies, is designed to maximize and accelerate this collaboration.

We all have something to learn from one another, share, and support each other. In that sense, UATE is the best platform in Armenia," emphasized Alexander Yesayan.

UATE Executive Director Edita Ghazaryan welcomed Firebird’s membership in the Union: "Today, Firebird is one of the most critical players in the Armenian tech ecosystem, and together we will implement large-scale initiatives to ensure this impact creates a multiplier effect across the entire industry."

Taking into account the immense potential established for the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Armenia, UATE is creating another major opportunity for tech companies to build new partnerships and establish global ties. The flagship platform for this will be Digitec 2026, held under the headline "The World's New AI Hub" on November 20–22 in Yerevan, convening leading AI pioneers from the US, Europe, Central Asia, the MENA/Gulf region, and beyond.
