Japanese corporation Nissan has developed a prototype paint that helps cool the car's body. This was noted by the publication Jalopnik.

According to the company’s materials, the new type of paint can significantly reduce the temperature of a car's body in hot weather. Nissan plans to use it for manufacturing vehicle body parts.

Specialists from the Japanese firm said that synthetic composite materials with structures displaying properties not typically found in nature were used in the paint's creation. Apparently, the new material effectively reflects infrared rays.

In an experiment, it was found that the body of a car coated with conventional paint heated up to 44 degrees Celsius, while the body of a car with composite paint reached only 33.2 degrees Celsius.

Nissan representatives did not reveal how the new paint would affect the cost of vehicles. However, they noted that the paint is about six times thicker than conventional paint. Initially, Nissan plans to use the new paint for commercial vehicles and trucks.

In early August, it was reported that the American corporation Ford has invented a system that will record traffic violations within the vehicle. This data will be collected and sent to a remote server.
