Five best budget smartphones to buy in 2024

The Russian website Palach has presented a list of the best budget smartphones worth up to $225, which are recommended to buy in 2024.

Poco M6 Pro

At the top of the list is the Poco M6 Pro, worth about $194, which has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a frequency of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1300 nits. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra chip, has a triple camera of 64, 8 and 2 MP, as well as IP54 protection against water and dust.

Infinix Note 40

It is followed by the Infinix Note 40 priced at $201, whose key feature is MagCharge's 20W wireless and 45W wired charging support. The smartphone also offers a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz frequency and 1300 nits brightness, as well as a 108 MP main camera and a 32 MP selfie camera. In addition to the Helio G99 Ultimate chip, the new smartphone has JBL stereo speakers, IP54 protection and 8/256 GB memory.

Samsung Galaxy A25

In third place is the Samsung Galaxy A25 with a price of about $194. This smartphone offers a 6.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1000 nits. The device's own Exynos 1280 chip is responsible for its operation, and the cameras are represented by three modules of 50, 8 and 2 MP. "If you do not trust Chinese brands, then it is definitely better for you to take this model," the website write.

Realme 12 5G

In the next place is Realme 12 5G, the price of which starts from about 222 dollars. It has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a frequency of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 950 nits. The device's cameras are standard for the segment, with an 8MP front camera and a unit with two 108+2MP modules capturing sharp images in good lighting conditions. The smartphone also features IP54 protection, a hybrid microSD slot, stereo speakers, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support.

The list is rounded off by the Tecno Camon 30, the price of which starts at around $224. It has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz frequency and Always-On Display support. There are no performance issues. The power of the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip is enough for both basic tasks and medium-heavy games. The smartphone has a 50MP front camera with auto focus and dual LED flash along with a 50+2MP camera unit. The device also supports 2K video recording. The Tecno Camon 30 has got a 5000mAh battery with 70W super fast charging support which can be charged in up to 45 minutes. The device also has stereo sound, an NFC module, an infrared port and a microSD slot.
