Certain types of applications, games, photos, and videos take up the most memory on smartphones, Denis Kuskov, CEO of Telecom Daily, told Moscow 24.

Additionally, he mentioned that memory gets "clogged" due to maps downloaded on the device.

"Some games and messengers can take up a lot of space, especially if you are sending a large number of videos to your contacts. Alternatively, if they are sending them to you and you are saving them," Kuskov clarified.

To free up memory on your phone, the expert suggests transferring photos, videos, and other "heavy" content to an external device and deleting unused applications. He also noted that cache, which is temporary files saved by the smartphone, can be cleared in the settings.

Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the Digital Expertise Center at Roskachestvo, previously stated that continuously using a smartphone with full memory can slow it down and cause malfunctions. According to him, most programs consume device resources even when they are not active, leading to rapid battery drain and reduced device performance.
