Leak reveals specs and features of Google Pixel 9 smartphones

Trusted insider OnLeaks has posted Google marketing materials online detailing the specifications and features of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold smartphones.

Accordingly, all phones will get one year of free access to Google's Gemini Advanced AI model and seven years of Pixel feature and security updates. Also, all new products will get an SOS function with alerts for emergency situations.

Judging by the leaked table, the basic Pixel 9 will have a 6.3-inch display and 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro could come in 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch displays with 16GB of RAM. The folding Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be equipped with 6.3-inch external and 8-inch folding screens and 16 GB of RAM. All devices are expected to be built on the new Google G4 Tensor chip.

The basic Pixel 9 will have a 10.5MP front-facing camera and two rear camera units: 50MP wide-angle and 48MP ultra-wide. The Pixel 9 Pro will have a 42MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a 10MP selfie camera, a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera.

Apart from Google's Gemini AI assistant and Circle to Search, the Pixel 9 series is also rumored to have a screenshot search feature. According to the blurb on one of the photos, the Pixel Screenshots feature "will help you save information you want to remember later, like event locations and more."

Earlier, Google submitted the Pixel 9 smartphones for certification to Taiwan's regulatory body, the National Communications Commission, which resulted in a leak as the regulator released photos of the new devices.
