10 best-selling smartphones of 2023

7 of the 10 best-selling smartphones of 2023 were made by Apple, while the remaining 3 were made by Samsung. This is stated in a study by the analytical company Counterpoint Research.

According to the company, Apple for the first time in its history took seven leading positions in the ranking. Interestingly, the first three positions were shared by the iPhone 14, 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro, while the iPhone 14 Plus did not make it into the top 10. At the same time, half of the sales of smartphones from this series were provided by the USA and China.

Fourth place was taken by the basic iPhone 13 model, which was in particular demand in Japan and India. The fifth, sixth and seventh places were occupied by the iPhone 15 Pro Max, 15 Pro and iPhone 15 smartphones.

Samsung smartphones also made it into the top 10, although only the company's budget phones - Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A04e and Galaxy A14 4G. They took three closing positions. Interestingly, none of Samsung's flagship smartphones were included in the ranking.

The Counterpoint Research report confirms IDC data, according to which Apple overtook Samsung to become the leader among the largest smartphone manufacturers at the end of last year.

Recently, Apple overtook Samsung in smartphone sales in Europe for the first time in the last seven quarters. the company increased shipments by 1% year-on-year to 12.4 million units.
