Romanian resident Andrei Bilbi Ardjentis has assembled a collection of 3456 mobile phones, making him the new record holder in the Guinness World Records. The previous record was held at 2779 phones.

Ardjentis claims that he actually has many more phones (several thousand), but some of them are duplicates, which are not considered in the record registration. Interestingly, he began collecting his collection just a few years ago, in 2018.

In the photo accompanying the record entry in the Book, a room with the collection is visible: two walls opposite each other are completely filled with mobile phones. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see several Motorola Razr V3 devices in different colors, a couple of Pixel phones, and several old iPhone models.

Previously, the record for the largest personal collection of mobile phones belonged to Ekrem Karagudekolu from Turkey. He collected 2779 devices of 150 different models. Ekrem, by profession, is a mobile phone repair technician. He started collecting his collection in 2010 and intends to turn it into a museum.
