Google Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with a compact temperature sensor, which is not located on the same block with the other cameras, but in a small printed circuit board of its own. The author of the JerryRigEverything channel, known for his videos with the “torment” of smartphones, disassembled the Google Pixel 8 Pro to see what’s inside it and what this same temperature sensor looks like.
As you can see in the video, the camera block of the device takes up quite a lot of space, since all three sensors are quite large, and the periscope is large, regardless of the size of the sensor. The temperature sensor, however, is not located on the same block with the other cameras: it has its own small printed circuit board and cables. The sensor itself is really miniature and is marked 24372D. But, alas, there is no additional information about him yet.
The temperature sensor installed in a smartphone is usually used to measure the temperature of various objects. It is important to note that although it is technically possible to measure a person’s body temperature, there is currently no corresponding item in the smartphone settings, which may affect the accuracy and consistency of measurements.
