‘Scary Fast’: Apple unveils date of event: What will it present this time?

October 25, 2023  12:02

Apple announced a presentation planned for the night of October 30-31, which will be called Scary Fast. New Mac computers are expected to be unveiled at the event.

Unlike previous presentations, this one will not be attended by the press. This is also the first time Apple will hold an event late in the evening. The company usually holds its presentations in the morning local time, but this time they will be held online at 04:00 Yerevan time. The broadcast will be available on Apple's website, as well as on the company's YouTube page and Apple TV app.

Several new Mac models are expected to be unveiled at the event. According to rumors, the company may introduce a new iMac, as well as updated MacBook Pro laptops. But the big question is whether the new iMacs will feature the next-gen M3 processors.

According to 9to5Mac, it's highly likely that the same updated iMac will feature Apple's M2 processors that were unveiled at WWDC 2022. However, the title of this presentation suggests that there could be more significant upgrades. The last time Apple updated the iMac was in April 2021, when it announced the M1 chips.

In January of this year, Apple held a unique virtual event where it introduced the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with updated M2 processors. The company did not announce this event in advance. Instead, Apple introduced the new product through press releases and videos posted on its website rather than via livestreaming.

The other day, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that by the end of October, Apple could introduce new iMac computers and iPad tablets. However, he did not specify which processor the new product will receive: Apple M2 or new M3 chips.
