Samsung has officially presented the Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) smartphone, which fans have been waiting for two years. The new model is clearly better than its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE, but the amount of innovation cannot be called impressive.
Depending on the country, the Galaxy S23 FE could use either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or an Exynos 2200 processor. This is a clear upgrade over the Galaxy S21 FE's Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 processors. The RAM is 8 GB, built-in memory is 128 or 256 GB.
The main camera sensor is 50 MP, while it is 12 MP on the Galaxy S21 FE. Another is a 10MP sensor (ultra-wide-angle lens with 123° viewing angle), and the third is 8MP (telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom). The resolution of the front camera is 10 MP.
Galaxy S23 FE received a flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a diagonal of 6.4 inches, Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The new product measures 158 x 76.5 x 8.2 mm and weighs 209 grams. It can be said that the smartphone with almost the same dimensions has become much heavier, because the weight of the Galaxy S21 FE is 177 grams.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will receive updates for five years. It will receive four major Android updates, and another year of security updates. One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 is pre-installed. The device has a 4500mAh battery with 25W charging support (there is also wireless charging support). The smartphone also has IP68 protection.
The sale of the new phone will start from October 26. The price of the basic version of 8/128 GB is 600 dollars in the USA.
