iPhone 15 will receive the fastest charging in the history of Apple smartphones

Apple plans to increase the charging speed in its new iPhone 15 smartphones, the 9to5mac portal reports.

According to the source, the new devices will support up to 35W charging, which is 15W more than the charging support of iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, and 8W more than the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Additionally, it's not known if this will apply to all iPhone 15 models or just the older Pro versions.

This is a step forward for Apple, which has traditionally lagged behind competitors in terms of charging speed for its smartphones. For example, modern Android smartphones offer 67W, 80W, 120W, 150W and even 240W charging. However, Samsung's flagship models support up to 45W, and the latest generation Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone only supports 23W charging.

According to experts, most likely, Apple is not ready for radical changes and prefers safer charging that does not subject the battery to rapid wear.

The presentation of iPhone 15 series smartphones is scheduled for September.

NEWS.am Tech reported earlier that due to problems with iPhone components, Apple decided to produce less iPhone 15. In addition, Foxconn has already started the production of iPhone 15 in India.

Earlier it was also reported that the USB-C connector of the iPhone 15 Pro will be 40 times faster than the iPhone 15.
