WhatsApp adds new useful feature

April 25, 2024  10:20

The Meta Corporation has released a new beta version of the WhatsApp messenger, which includes a built-in dialer. This was reported by the publication WABetaInfo.

WABetaInfo writes that the new feature is a development of the recent WhatsApp concept, in which developers strive to simplify the process of interacting with contacts not from the phone book for users. For example, in one of the previous builds numbered 2.23.15.11, Meta added the ability to open chats with unknown contacts by dialing their number in the internal search. In turn, the in-app dialer will provide convenience for calling contacts without the need to save their numbers in the address book.

"Sometimes users need to call someone for a temporary reason: for example, to coordinate a purchase or discuss a business matter. Thanks to the in-app dialer in WhatsApp, you will be able to make this call without adding the contact to the address book," writes WABetaInfo.

Any user participating in the WhatsApp beta testing can test the new feature. To do this, they need to download the messenger version from Google Play with build number 2.24.9.28.
