Monetization on Twitter: Users can now offer paid subscriptions to their followers

Twitter users can now monetize their content. As reported by the owner of this social media platform, Elon Musk, famous authors can now offer their readers the opportunity to buy a subscription.

It's about the ability to sell access to anything, from long posts to videos lasting several hours. To do this, you need to select the Monetization item from the Tools for Professional subsection of the menu and follow the instructions.

Musk said that for the next 12 months, Twitter will not keep any commission from authors who monetize their content.

“They get the same money as we do, which is 70% on iOS and Android subscriptions (they take a 30% commission) and about 92% on web (maybe more, depending on the payment processor),” Musk said.

Also, he pledged to promote the work of content creators so that they can achieve maximum success.

The problem, however, is that for now this service will only be accessible to US users. True, Musk noted that they are working so that in the near future it will be possible to monetize the content in other countries as well.
