How often is it worth replacing a smartphone with a new one?

The frequency of replacing a smartphone with a new one is determined by the needs of consumers, but in general it is recommended to buy a new phone every three years, not sooner. Eldar Murtazin, the leading analyst of Mobile Research Group, told Moscow 24 about this.

“A smartphone is a pretty reliable thing. It can be used for two, three or five years if handled properly. Therefore, how often you change your device depends on your needs. In my opinion, today it makes sense to buy a smartphone every three years, not more often," said the specialist.

According to him, over time the phone becomes old, its components wear out. For example, a device's battery may lose power after two to three years of use. In this case, you can change the battery or the smartphone completely, Murtazin noted.

According to the analyst, even after three years, more modern smartphones may appear on the market, which will surpass the old one in terms of screen, camera and additional parameters.
