The screen bezels of the new iPhone 15 Pro models will be very thin, only 1.5 mm. However, this, most likely, will not be the only difference between new devices compared to older models.
Portal 9to5mac compared the screen of the iPhone 15 Pro with previous versions of Apple smartphones. To show how much thinner the screen of the new smartphone will be, the authors of the portal created schematic images of the displays of all iPhone Pro models, starting from the 12th series. These changes are noticeable even when compared with the latest iPhone 14 Pro: the bezels have decreased by more than 30%.
This achievement was made possible by the use of LIPO technology to create screens. Apple has already successfully used this innovation in the development of displays for the Apple Watch.
However, according to experts, reducing the size of the frames can cause some inconvenience when using a smartphone, including accidental clicks when holding the device in your hands.
At the same time, the characteristic Dynamic Island cutout for the front camera and the Face ID system will retain its size and shape - it will most likely be the same as in last year's model.
According to rumors, the presentation of the iPhone 15 smartphones and the Apple Watch Series 9 will take place on September 13. Experts expect the iPhone 15 Pro to be $100 more than the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be $100-$200 more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. There is also an opinion that, despite the general interest, the demand for smartphones of the iPhone 15 series is likely to be very modest, and even fewer people will buy them than the iPhone 14.
