Redmi product manager Hu Xinxin published an extensive article on the Weibo social network, in which he touched upon the camera of the flagship Redmi K80 Pro smartphone. According to the manager, the device will receive a high-quality camera, which has not yet been seen in Redmi devices.
The Redmi K80 Pro will receive a main camera with a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 sensor, there will also be a high-quality ultra-wide-angle camera with a 32-megapixel sensor, and the same module with a telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel sensor as the Xiaomi 15.
“The goal of creating this camera is to fully compare with the Xiaomi 15. Apart from the Leica brand, everything is the same,” Hu wrote.
The difference between the cameras of the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro is that the younger model will not have a module with a telephoto lens.
It is already known that the Redmi K80 Pro will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 6000 mAh battery, support for 120 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 protection. The official premiere of the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro will take place on Wednesday, November 27.
