Xiaomi introduced the flagship smartphones of the new Xiaomi 14T series, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro models. The new products are equipped with AMOLED screens with a maximum brightness of 4000 cd/m2, powerful cameras with Leica optics and powerful MediaTek chips.
The more advanced Xiaomi 14T Pro smartphone is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process. The Dimensity 9300+ processor includes a MediaTek NPU 790 neuroprocessor for generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications and an Immortalis-G720 MC12 graphics accelerator. The capacity of LPDDR5X RAM of the smartphone is 12 GB. UFS 4.0 drive capacity is up to 1TB.
In turn, the basic version of the Xiaomi 14T is equipped with a 4 nm Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor with a frequency of up to 3.35 GHz and an Arm Mali-G615 MC6 graphics accelerator, as well as a MediaTek NPU 780 neuroprocessor engine. This model also has 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. And the capacity of the UFS 4.0 flash drive is slightly less than that of the older model - up to 512 GB. Smartphones use the Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system to remove heat from components.
Both models received 6.67-inch TrueColor CrystalRes AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1.5K (2712 × 1220 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The screens have a maximum brightness of 4000 cd/m2, DCI-P3 color gamut support and PWM backlight control at a high frequency of 3840 Hz. The smartphones also have support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies.
The screens offer a reading mode, a dark mode, and are TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution), TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free, and TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly certified, which ensures low levels of blue light harmful to the eyes, and no screen flickering. An under-display fingerprint scanner is used to unlock the devices.
Smartphones are also equipped with professional Leica Summilux optics, which guarantees high-quality images. On the back of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.31" Light Fusion 900 sensor and f/1.6 aperture, as well as optical stabilization that absorbs 32% more light for bright and clear images. It complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens (f/2.0) and a 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture.For selfies, it can use a 32MP front camera (f/2.0).
The Xiaomi 14T has the same 32MP front-facing camera as the older model. The rear panel houses a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 sensor with optical stabilization and f/1.7 aperture, along with a 50MP telephoto lens (f/1.9) and a 12MP wide-angle module with f/2.2 aperture.
Xiaomi's AISP computational photography platform uses AI to enhance image quality by reducing noise and expanding dynamic range. The AI capabilities of smartphones include AI Translator, AI Voice Recorder and AI Notes. The AI Image Processing function allows you to improve the quality of photos, and the AI Eraser Pro will help remove unwanted elements from a photo.
Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro are equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with HyperCharge fast charging. The older model offers 120W of wired power, which provides a full charge in 19 minutes, as well as wireless charging of 50W. Xiaomi 14T has support for 67W wired charging.
The smartphone also has stereo speakers with Hi-Res and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification and Dolby Atmos technology, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless adapters. To protect against moisture and dust, the new product meets the IP68 standard. The smartphones run on Xiaomi HyperOS.
