Owners of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 foldable flagship smartphones are reporting issues with camera lens detachment. This was reported by the portal Mobiltelefon.
According to complaints from the first owners of these flagship smartphones, the lenses protecting the camera modules are attached to the body using glue. As a result, the lenses are coming off and getting lost, leaving the cameras vulnerable to dust and dirt. This also calls into question the claimed water resistance of the smartphones according to the IP48 standard.
It is noted that currently, the problem is not widespread. However, experts warn that temperature fluctuations could worsen the situation, and if Samsung does not change the attachment technology, the lenses may be lost more frequently.
“It turned out that, for cost-saving reasons, they made the lenses not a part of the rear cover construction but glued them on. The issue of lens detachment is a matter of time and external temperature, as well as heating the body from gaming. And this costs us 200,000 rubles,” commented Mobiltelefon editor-in-chief Yevgeny Makarov.
At the end of July, early buyers of Samsung Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro encountered issues related to the build quality of both the earbuds and the charging case. Some users reported play in the case lid, problems with paint, and easily torn ear cushions. Others even found foreign hairs inside the sealed box. Due to these issues, Samsung was forced to temporarily withdraw these earbuds from sale.
