The Lenovo Thinkplus Lipstick 100W GaN charger, specifically designed for charging portable computers, has been released in China. The charger has a maximum power of 100W and costs from 349 yuan ($48).
The Thinkplus Lipstick 100W uses third-generation gallium nitride technology. It is slightly larger than a regular lipstick and has a very compact size of 73x30x35 mm. The novelty is about 55% smaller than conventional 100W chargers. It also folds up, making it more portable.
Company representatives say that this charger can run continuously for 8,760 hours. The charger has three GaN chips built with the new AHB architecture, has a conversion efficiency of up to 94%, and power loss is kept to a minimum.
The Thinkplus Lipstick 100W is compatible with various charging protocols: PD 3.0, QC 3.0 and PPS. With PPS the maximum power is 100W, PPS also provides a voltage range of 5-20V. It can not only provide power for 100W laptops, but can also quickly charge many cell phones and other portable devices.
The charger has a heavy-duty 1.8m long, 100W USB-C cable coated with VO-grade TPE flame-retardant material. It is quite durable and long-lasting.
