In the latest update of the messenger WhatsApp there is a new feature: from now on users will be able to create stickers from photos on the phone. However, so far this function is only available to users whose devices run on iOS.
According to the portal WABetaInfo, for the new feature to work correctly the user's iPhone should have the iOS 16 operating system. To create your own sticker, you need to go to the application "Photos", select the desired photo, press the desired object in the photo and drag and drop it into a chat in WhatsApp. The messenger will offer to convert the object from the photo into a sticker. This sticker will also be saved in the user's collection.
Previously, users had to use third-party services to create their own stickers in WhatsApp, which was time-consuming. Now iPhone users can create stickers in a simplified mode in just a few seconds.
The ability to convert photos into stickers was available to some users in the beta version of WhatsApp, but now it becomes available to everyone who uses WhatsApp version 23.3.77 on iOS.
The feature is not yet available to users with smartphones running on Android and other operating systems.
WhatsApp has recently launched a number of other new features. The other day, a feature called Newsletter was added to the beta version of the messenger. According to Techcrunch.com, that will be a news feed in the messenger, which will not contain advertising, and the algorithm will create personalized recommendations for users. The news will be arranged in chronological order, just like a regular chat in the messenger.
During 2023, the messenger will also launch a number of new features, such as data transfer between Android devices, the ability to complain about the status of users, the ability to save important messages in the chat window with disappearing messages and others.
