July 2, 2024  13:02

At the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Ring smart ring alongside new smartphones and smartwatches. The manufacturer has already shown what this device looks like at MWC 2024. However, the company has not yet revealed its features. Android Authority has managed to find out what features to expect from the Galaxy Ring.

Information about the possible functions of the Galaxy Ring smart ring was taken from the latest version of the APK of the Samsung Health app. However, at this time, no one can guarantee their appearance in the final version of the product. It is possible that some of the features found in the APK are not yet ready for release and may appear later or may not be available to users at all.

According to the source, the Galaxy Ring will be able to measure heart rate and stress levels. Below are screenshots of the user interface for these functions in the Samsung Health app.

The Galaxy Ring will also be able to measure skin temperature and predict menstrual cycles. In addition, the device will be able to track the owner's sleep and monitor snoring. However, as with the Galaxy Watch, this will require the use of a smartphone as a companion device.

The snoring monitoring feature within Samsung Health requires that the phone be placed near the user and be on charge. Additionally, you will need to grant Samsung Health permission to record sound using the phone to detect snoring.
