YouTube adds several new features at once

Five new features have been added to YouTube all at once, designed to improve the user experience. This is reported on the developers' blog.

One of the main innovations is the Jump Ahead function, which allows you to automatically advance the video to the most interesting moments. The feature works using artificial intelligence algorithms based on the analysis of viewer behavior.

Jump Ahead also lets you skip frequently missed moments. The feature, however, is currently only available to US Premium subscribers on Android devices, and it's unclear when it will be available in other regions.

Another update is Picture-in-Picture mode for Shorts, which lets you shrink the video window and place it on top of other apps.

Smart Downloads, which automatically selects and saves short videos for viewing when the Internet connection is disconnected, have also been launched in test mode.
