How to find out whether you have spyware on your smartphone?

June 27, 2024  22:26

If the smartphone performs actions on its own, for example, turns on itself, opens applications, etc., then this may indicate that there may be spyware on your device and the device is under the influence of external interference, Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the digital expertise center of the Russian Roskachestvo has said.

In addition, signs of such interference may be that the Internet speed decreases, the device starts to heat up, or actions that do not reflect real activity by the user. For example, the smartphone gallery may contain screenshots or videos that the user did not take.

"There is no need to panic if you find some of the listed symptoms on your smartphone. They can occur for other reasons. However, for your own peace of mind, it's worth getting a professional to check your device for spyware. If you have certain skills and experience, you can do it yourself," said Sergey Kuzmenko.

Arina Filippova, MegaFon's senior mobile equipment manager, told Gazeta.Ru earlier that direct sunlight and heat are the main enemies of mobile phones in the summer. The screen, battery and processor do not tolerate temperatures above 35 degrees, so it is important not to leave the phone under direct sunlight.
