April 18, 2024  14:31

Porsche has announced the launch of its new electric bicycle, the Cross Performance EXC 2nd Gen, in several countries. This premium 12-speed bike, equipped with a carbon frame, comes with an impressive price tag, largely due to the brand's reputation. In terms of technical specifications, the new model is largely similar to the previously released eBike Cross Performance EXC 2023.

The Cross Performance EXC 2nd Gen features a Shimano EP 801 electric motor, capable of delivering up to 85 Nm of torque. The bicycle will be available with either a 504 Wh or 603 Wh battery. According to the developers, the battery can provide a range of up to 100 km in ECO mode. Charging the battery from 0 to 80% takes about 2.5 hours.

The Fox 34 Float Performance suspension fork with 120mm of travel and Fox Float DPS rear shock make riding over rough terrain more comfortable. Among other features, the bike includes a Shimano XT rear derailleur, Magura MT Trail disc brakes, Continental Cross King tires, and a Shimano SC-EM800 display showing information about speed and battery charge level. Additionally, a Lamicall Bike Phone Holder is provided on the handlebar for attaching a smartphone.

As with previous models, purchasing the Cross Performance EXC 2nd Gen requires placing a pre-order on the Porsche Design website. Each bike is made to order and will be available in limited countries. For example, in the US, it will be available for $15,665, while in Europe, it will be priced at €14,200. Deliveries are expected to start around mid-year.
