Apple to update design of iPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch, make them even thinner

Last month, Apple unveiled the new 13-inch iPad Pro, which is just 5.1mm thick, making it the company's thinnest product ever. According to online sources, the company plans to change the design of other devices, such as the iPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch, and make them even thinner.

According to 9to5mac, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman claims that the iPad Pro introduced this year is “the beginning of a new class of Apple devices.” The company's goal is to make these products "the thinnest and lightest devices in their categories." Gurman expects that the iPhone 17 line will include a version of the smartphone with a completely new design that will be significantly thinner than the current models. Gurman also noted that Apple is working on new versions of the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch that will be thinner than the current models.

With the latest redesign of the MacBook Pro in 2021, the device is thicker and heavier than the previous generation model. This update coincides with the transition of the MacBook to proprietary Apple Silicon processors, the return of MagSafe and HDMI ports, as well as an SD card slot.

Exactly when the company may introduce new versions of the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch is not specified. However, many things really indicate today that Apple is striving to create devices that will be distinguished not only by high performance, but also by maximum compactness and lightness.
