Internet failures in Armenia due to outage of main and backup communication nodes on territory of Georgia

At least two Internet operators in Armenia have had problems with Internet access for several hours. The problem, according to Team Telecom Armenia, is related to the failure of the main and backup communication nodes of the European direction on the territory of Georgia.

"Our colleagues in Georgia are taking all the necessary measures to solve the problem as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconveniences caused," reads the statement of Team Telecom Armenia.

Ucom's press service told NEWS.am Tech that as a result of the crash some of the company's services in Armenia have been interrupted. However, users can still send voice messages.

"Two large cables were damaged. Now our partners are working on restoring them," the company said.
