At CES 2026, Motorola first showcased its debut “book-style” foldable smartphone, and now the company has revealed nearly all specifications and announced sales dates. The Motorola Razr Fold is a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Huawei Mate X, with a focus on maximum thinness, extremely bright displays, and stylus support. Pre-orders in Europe will open on April 13 at a price of 2,000 euros.
Design and Thickness — The Main Advantages
The body is record-thin for a book-style foldable smartphone: just 4.55 mm when unfolded and 9.89 mm when folded. Weight is 243 g. It has IP49 water resistance (not fully waterproof, but it can withstand splashes and rain).
On the outside — a 6.6-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 2520×1080 resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, full DCI-P3 coverage, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and peak brightness of 6000 nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
Inside — an 8.09-inch LTPO display with an 8:7.2 aspect ratio (2484×2232), adaptive refresh rate from 1–120 Hz, and brightness up to 6200 nits. Pantone validation and Dolby Vision support are also included.
Moto Pen Ultra — Included
The Moto Pen Ultra works on both screens, supports pressure and tilt sensitivity, quick access to tools, note-taking, and AI features such as turning sketches into finished images. The stylus is included in the box — a major advantage compared to competitors, where it is often sold separately.
