On the night of December 4 2025 an incident occurred in a school dormitory in the city of Ropczyce in southeastern Poland that could have ended in tragedy. What happened that night

The explosion occurred around one in the morning while the teenager was actively using the phone. He suffered injuries to his hands including burns and possibly shrapnel wounds according to preliminary reports. Seven other teenagers reported feeling unwell likely due to smoke inhalation or shock. All eight were taken to hospital for examination. Fortunately no fire broke out. Firefighters ventilated the rooms and later allowed residents to return.
