The Russian company Beshtau Electronics has started production of domestic monitors under the Beshtau brand in Russia, as well as computer mice and keyboards and plans to produce personal computers in the near future.
The first batch of monitors produced in the factory located in Yessentuki, Stavropol Territory, Russia, was about 10,000 pieces. At the moment, the only 24-inch model M24FHD is offered. The company said that the development of this product took two months without the help of foreign specialists.
Technical characteristics of M24FHD Beshtau
Beshtau M24FHD Monitor has a 23.8-inch IPS matrix, 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The brightness of the screen reaches 250 cd/m2 and the contrast ratio is 1000:1. The M24FHD has a built-in power supply that consumes 19 watts of power during operation.
The monitor also has VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort connectors as well as VESA 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 wall mounting capability. The monitor has built-in speakers, weighs 2.9 kg, and measures 539 x 310 x 38 mm including the stand.
Beshtau M24FHD is also available in an alternative version, which has a VA matrix, and two USB 3.0 ports that connect to the computer via USB-B and USB-A cables.
Production of individual components of the monitor is done in Rostov-on-Don, while the assembly of the finished product is already underway in Essentuki. The supplier of the matrix has not been announced yet. The company explained that it uses different types of matrices (IPS, VA), from different manufacturers, and added that they could not provide other details, as it is a trade secret.
It is not yet known when the monitors will be in stores or how much they will cost. They are currently sold only to government agencies and companies and are only sold through a distributor. The company has no plans to enter the retail market yet.
Keyboard, mouse, and PC
Since January 15, 2023, Beshtau Electronics also began producing mice and keyboards. The company plans to produce 27-inch monitors in the near future. At the moment Beshtau motherboards are also under registration, on the basis of which the company plans to produce branded PCs and mono-blocks.
In Russia as of January 15, no Russian company had serial production of domestic monitors in 2023.
