In 2024, Vivo surprised many by releasing a smaller version of its flagship, the X200 Pro Mini, which complemented the X200 series. According to new information, in 2025, the company is preparing a similar compact device, but this time in the mid-range price segment—a welcome development for fans of small gadgets, which are currently rare in the market.
Potential Specifications
As reported by gsmarena.com, rumors shared by insider Digital Chat Station (later deleted) suggest that the new device will feature a chipset from the Dimensity 9 series, likely the Dimensity 9300, which aligns well with mid-range devices.
The smartphone's display is expected to be similar to the X200 Pro Mini, featuring a 6.31-inch screen with a resolution of 1216×2640, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits.
The main camera will reportedly be 50 megapixels and include a telephoto lens—an uncommon feature in this price category. Additionally, the device will be equipped with a "rather large" silicon-based battery. If the rumors are accurate, its capacity will surpass the X200 Pro Mini’s 5700mAh.
Market Expectations
Vivo's decision to offer a compact smartphone in the mid-range segment could be a strategic move, considering the popularity of the X200 Pro Mini. With growing demand for small, powerful devices that are easy to use, the new model has the potential to become highly popular—especially given that leading smartphone manufacturers have rarely released compact gadgets in recent years.
