An insider known by the nickname Digital Chat Station, who previously provided accurate information about the specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 12 series smartphones, has now revealed details about the camera of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
According to his information, Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor with a focal length of 23 mm and an aperture of f/1.6. This time, Xiaomi has increased the length of the physical focus, which will improve the quality of the photo in low light conditions.
The leak also mentions a "customized new hardware module," which could refer to a specially designed main sensor for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but it's unclear what exactly it is.
For telephoto photography, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to include a periscope telephoto lens with a 200-megapixel sensor, which will reportedly offer 4.3x optical zoom, a focal length of 100mm, and an aperture of f/2.6.
The leak provides more details on the sensor's construction, describing a "slightly shortened" 25.xmm focal length and two zoom options: 4.3x (using a 1/1.5-inch image size) and 4.1x (using a full 1/1.4-inch sensor).
According to news, the smartphone will be released in the spring of next year.
