Ilya Kazakov, technical director of MTS Urent Power Banks service, told RT what are the applications that consume most of the smartphone's battery power. According to him, it is necessary to understand which applications "eat" the charge and how to deal with them.

Among them, Kazakov mentioned social networking applications that constantly run in the background, downloading content and sending notifications. He recommends turning off background updates and notifications.

The list also includes GPS navigation apps that run background processes to update maps and traffic data, and Kazakov talked about apps that create short videos that require constant data loading and processing.

The expert also reminded popular video platforms where playing streaming videos, especially in high quality, uses a lot of computing power and battery power. He recommends lowering the video quality and not using the smartphone as a pocket TV.

Kazakov also mentioned video conferencing applications, which consume a lot of energy due to the constant use of the camera, microphone and data transmission. He advises to reduce the brightness of the screen, if possible to use only voice calls, and close applications after using them.

Finally, modern games, which load almost the most on the smartphone's processor and graphics subsystem, also consume a lot of energy. In this case, Kazakov recommends reducing the brightness of the screen during the game.

The expert emphasizes that it is generally important to understand which applications consume battery power and take measures to save it.
