Space tourist Jared Isaacman's historic walk in space was successful. the astronaut left the Crew Dragon spacecraft tethered by a cable and appeared in open space at an altitude of 700 km above the Earth.

"We all have a lot of work to do at home, but Earth sure looks like a perfect world from here," Isaacman, 41, said after exiting the spacecraft.

Before the start of the spacewalk, the capsule was completely depressurized, and the entire crew was protected by thin spacesuits developed by SpaceX. Crew Dragon's oxygen was supplied via tubes.

The spacewalk was designed, among other things, to test the new spacesuits. This will expand the boundaries of commercial spaceflight.

By the way, the Polaris Dawn mission was financed by Isaacman, as well as his Inspiration4 flight in 2021 with SpaceX.
