All four iPhone 16 models support wired fast charging of up to 45W. This was reported by 9to5Mac, citing a document from the China Quality Certification Centre.

The document states that all iPhone 16 models were tested at voltages of 5-15 volts and a current of 3 amps, which translates to a maximum power of 45 watts. This is more than 50% higher than the iPhone 15 lineup, which topped out at 27-29W.

Before the release of the iPhone 16, insiders had reported that Apple would introduce faster charging in the new models. However, during and after the presentation, the company did not comment on the wired charging speeds of the new iPhones. It was only mentioned that the MagSafe wireless magnetic charger supports up to 25W charging with a compatible power adapter.

Apple introduced the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineup on Monday, September 9. The new models will go on sale on September 20. The devices feature a new Camera Caption button, larger displays in the Pro and Pro Max models, and support for the Apple Intelligence AI system.
