At the It’s Glowtime event, Apple introduced a new generation of iPhone, which in addition to the basic versions of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus includes the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new products received larger screens, more powerful processors, many AI features, and other improvements. The iPhone 16 Pro Max has “the best battery life ever in an iPhone.”

Screen and design characteristics

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are equipped with larger OLED screens: 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. The cases are made of titanium and are available in four colors, including a new “desert titanium” shade. The new devices also received a Camera Control button for convenient camera control.

Performance and processors

The iPhone 16 Pro lineup is powered by the A18 Pro chip (3nm), which includes a six-core CPU and a 16-core neural engine, delivering 15% faster CPU performance and 20% better graphics performance than the previous model. Apple says the A18 Pro is the fastest chip in a smartphone in the world.

Cameras and shooting capabilities

Both smartphones have the same camera setup: a 48-megapixel main camera, a new 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The cameras support the new Visual Intelligence feature for recognizing objects in the frame, as well as 4K video recording at 120 frames per second and the ability to pause recording.
