Android Headlines has published a photo of the upcoming foldable smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (SE), which will be an updated version of the Z Fold6 with a thinner design.

Based on the image, the new model will feature a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold6 with subtle changes. The main difference is the slimmer body, rumored to be 4.9 mm thick when unfolded and 10.6 mm when folded.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will have a flat frame with slightly rounded corners, and the cameras will be housed in a rectangular module that appears thicker than the one on the Z Fold6. The back panel seems to have a brushed metal finish, although it is more likely glass with a textured surface. As expected, the power button will integrate a fingerprint scanner, and the volume rocker will be placed higher on the right side, which is standard for Samsung gadgets.

Rumors suggest the new model will feature a 200 MP main camera, a 6.5-inch external display, and an 8-inch foldable screen. According to insiders, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be released exclusively in South Korea and China, where it will be called the Samsung W25.

The thinner version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2024.
